scarlet skater

This amazing bow-back skater dress is the result of a swap with one of my close friends. Swapping is one of the best ways to discover new outfits without having to spend any money (free is my favourite number)! I am absolutely in love with the dress and plan to wear it until it falls to bits, in true Isabella fashion. This will begin with this Saturday night, when I am going out for Australian-Mexican food and enjoying the fact that it will be the holidays!

I really, really can't wait to talk more soon. One day of school left. I can do this.

brogues and bows

These last couple of days have been very enjoyable because-wait for it- my assessment is beginning to slow down! I can actually make a list of the things I have to do on one hand! It's all so exciting! I celebrated by going shopping with my Mother and not buying much at all, but spritzing perfumes and trying on things and all the enjoyable things you can do in a mall without spending money. While I was getting dress for the occasion I realised that OH MY GOSH I have nothing to wear. So I had to settle with this gorgeous red knit top that I bought about 4 years ago, then handed down to my little sister, then stole back. Hand-me-ups rock!

rainy march

Hello! Hola! Ciao!
I am here! It has been an absolutely earth-shattering amount of time since I have posted on here. Well probably not when you think about it, but my brain hurts so I will refrain from doing so. Life has been quite chaotic for the past week or so; I have celebrated my Mother's birthday (big shout out- Hi Mum!), St Patrick's Day (green is really not my colour, by the way) and almost finished my assessment. I am so close, people. So close to freedom! And Easter holidays!

Many big changes (all good, of course) are on the horizon for this blog. As soon as I get on break, I am going to sit down and make wonderful things happen. But for now, math homework. Are your lives currently more exciting than mine? Tell me everything!

a day in the life

This "day in the life" post was actually really fun to do. Especially considering that it was one of the busiest/most exciting days I have had in quite a long time. Don't be alarmed. I do not often have this much fun. So here we have it: a very exciting Saturday!
I wake up before everyone inside house or outside the house, including the kookaburras, as per usual, to have my cup of green tea and this glorious feast of banana, muesli and cornflakes. I am definitely a morning person.
After a bit of internet browsing and some homework, I head off to dance to do ballet, jazz and contemporary. My class spends a fair bit of this time cartwheeling, hand-springing and hand-standing, much to my dismay. No one should ever have to watch me cartwheel. It is ugly, my friends.
Mum and I go shopping on the beach boardwalk and I hand out resumes while looking professional and OH MY GOSH one eye is so much smaller than the other! That is so not normal! You can see the rest of the squinty outfit post here. We then go to catch a movie, One For The Money (which is hilarious) and I forget to take pictures because I am a pinhead.
We get home; I proceed to bake a cake and lick the bowl until it shines.
This tea is amazing! It has recently replaced my usual plain chamomile. I drown this is honey and drink it before bed. I also have dinner but forget to photograph it because I am a pinhead, again.
I bunk down for the night with a good book and love heart fairy lights.
Hope you are all well! I am sick and swamped with assessment. Not all days can be as exciting as this one!

braided

I was feeling quite fancy when I wore this outfit. It took me forever to braid my hair like I saw on Modcloth (because there's so much of it), I attempted a brown smoky eye and wore some beautiful earrings. To balance out going out of my comfort zone beauty-wise, I wore my go-to outfit: peter pan collared top, high-waisted shorts and combat boots. It honestly never fails.

Sometimes it feels like when I'm at home, there is barely any time to enjoy, but when I'm at school, the hours pass incredibly s-l-o-w-l-y. I can safely say that I am ready for another holiday. At home, taking photos, baking and spending time with friends. I have been taking a few photos lately, though, and you lovely people can expect "room tour" and "day in the life" posts coming up soon. Hope you are all well!

afternoon sun

The sun this afternoon was absolutely delectable. I could've eaten it with a spoon along with the big bowl of yoghurt and muesli I had. With the sun being delectable and all it was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Asos hat that I am head-over-wedges for along with my default Summer outfit: a flow-y cropped singlet and some high-waist shorts. I have had some serious glitchy issues with my posts lately so it was nice to finally go outside and take some photos!

Sorry for going MIA on you all; I have been job-hunting and assignment-completing for the past week or so. The last few days have been spent basically roamed around with a resume in one hand and a pair of oversized sunglasses in the other, hunting down some fashion-based work. My number one tip: look classy and fabulous when you're searching for work. Scratch that. Always look classy and fabulous.
