These things keep me sane in the chaos that is currently my life. Last week was full of -ugh- school and this week the best Mother ever took me into the city. We found macaroons after hours of searching in Starbucks and Copenhagen and bought about 11. It's kind of a big deal. As we were walking to catch the train a man stood, absolutely fixated on these macaroons, just staring at them in my hands. He then proceeded to run after us asking-in broken English- where we had gotten our "cakes". It was sweet, but by the determination in his eyes you would have thought he was going to pounce on me and wrestle the macaroons from my hands. J'adore the city.

My outfits for the next weekend! I bought this amazing Minkpink one-shouldered bodysuit while shopping in the city, I have to admit these photos do not do it enough justice. I hope my late-afternoon photography shows you lovely readers the amazing silk-shirt and Navajo-necklace combo borrowed off my mother well enough. The look I was aiming for was Indian-themed chic, based around the bodysuit and my new sandals from Target (yes, Target) for $13. I am such a bargain nerd.

a big day out

This is a tiny photo diary for my massive day out today, a complete shopping extravaganza! I am in love with a few new stores, have a few new pieces... in other words quite a few interesting posts coming up. Whilst out spending money, I came across these real Mulberry bags (the exact ones I have been lusting over for such a long time), and I screamed and jumped around a little, not going to lie. They had the Alexa bag! In tan leather! Okay I'm finished. But you get the point.
I also saw the photography exhibit of Henri Cartier-Bresson, and oh my goodness I am taking so many more photos. It was just rooms and rooms full of inspiration. I channeled him in the photo of the muffin with the man moving in the background, though it should probably be in black and white (look him up and you will understand). So so sorry for the extremely delayed blog post! I have been having a weekend away with my family, in the most gorgeous little bed and breakfast, and shopping in the city. I bought an adorable Peter-Pan collared top, (not surprising in the least) and have discovered my fixation for head wreaths. I'm planning to construct one of my own soon, photos will probably be up in a post. Also, the most gorgeous bridal store ever popped up while I was spending money. I want a wedding!

I hope all my fellow Australians are enjoying a well-deserved holiday and soaking up the sun (finally). My new best friend is fake tanner (a gradual, healthy fake tan). That sounds incredibly vain and a little Jersey Shore, though I am aware of my fair skin. And well... I would most likely be grounded if I ever got a real tan. We're a little melanoma-conscious in my family. Happy Spring-time!

pavement pounders

So I totally had surgery. And it was really cool. Anesthetic is nice.
I had an infection, blah blah blah. I will spare you the details.

I am very aware that holidays will soon end, and the days will stop blurring together and I will have to stop watching Gilmore Girls for hours every day. And there is no better way to spend the last of the holidays than taking the train into the big city. Shopping for no actual clothes and getting distracted by the many different languages Vogue comes in and buying them all.

General Pants Co. is even cooler than I imagined, and all the shorts are really distressed and high waist and all acid-y, just the way I like them. The best though, was probably this wedding dress shop that I conveniently forgot the name of but is in this alley, and I have decided that I'm going to get married in one of their dresses and have a child that looks like Georgia May Jagger.
