snapshot

Hello, lovelies! I do believe I am very close to achieving one hundred followers. Thank you to all who have already followed me, we are so close!
I'll admit, I spent way too long lying in bed with my laptop resting on my stomach yesterday. But in an odd way, it motivated me to get up and do something. I checked out the Teen Vogue website, (best magazine ever, I have a long-running subscription) and realised that I was now old enough to enter their snapshot competition! It's a competition where you send in a photo of you, describe what you're wearing and talk about your style. I tried entering it last year, and of course was turned down because of my age. Here I'm wearing my Miss Shop sweater and Pink Rogue Peter Pan collar top, (both of which you have seen here), my Rodarte for Target skirt, Coach bag and canvas military boots. Wish me luck!
ps. I changed a few aspects of my blog's look. You like?

bowtie

Country Road shirt, Billabong cutoffs, Miss Shop boots, Rodarte for Target bowtie, Dotti boater.

So I've decided to jump on the bandwagon of another trend. I haven't lookbooked lately at all, but had so much fun recreating their trends. So is this a wearable trend or what? I'm voting yes, when worn the right way. And as for the girls vs boys situation... I just can't decide. But I love a nice guy in a bowtie. Who doesn't?

doll house

Pure linen top, Rodarte for Target skirt, Target boots, Miller's pullover.
dollhouse

Easter has successfully passed and I now have roughly two kilograms of chocolate! Okay, so maybe I exaggerated a little, but it seems like that. This photo shoot was inspired by dolls, doll houses etc. And because I am currently obsessed I made a polyvore of doll-inspired buys. Bows, lots of bows! The skirt is Rodarte for Target and has the most amazing detail (and a matching cardigan). The second shot is strange but it is actually me trying to cram myself into a tiny cubby house while wearing a Miller's pullover (don't ask). My Easter outfit ended up breaking the tradition! I wore this voluminous red skirt and I got a new pocket watch (with pearls!). What did you wear?

Clash, just a little

Rodarte for target dress, Metallicus tights, Gianni Bini heels, Knock-off Dior glasses, vintage scarf

This outfit is a complete clash but that's almost the reason I like it. Don't laugh at my awkward poses. I'm not a model, yet. Plus, it would be so much easier if I didn't have the Gianni Bini heels on. The things I do for fashion . . .

Thanks to Maria, brilliant photographer.

Wedding Veils and Cycle fifteen

My mother's wedding veil, Rodarte for Target dress, Miss Shop boots, (a staple) and Claire's bracelets.

These photos are all styled and photographed by the fabulous Maria, and I modeled, of course, considering I was just bursting with poses from an America's Next Top Model marathon (Yeah, Cycle Fifteen!) And of course, we just had to do the shoot at 7:00 in the morning. I'm pumped though, because it kind of reminds me of the Bazaar Wild Thing shoot, and that was pretty much my all time favourite for Bazaar. I saw the most amazing Tavi look alike yesterday. Ok, I'm done rambling.

for my most favourite peasant.

lace and silk

 curtain

Maria: Billabong trench coat, vintage silk scarf.
Izzy: Billabong lace top, Rodarte for Target skirt.

Fellow blogger Maria paid a visit to my humble rainforest abode and we did a photo shoot that was extremely successful. We couldn't exactly settle on one style, so we chose a sort of vintage thing with the clothes, hair and makeup.

Maria and I have a interesting friendship with two distinctive sides. One minute, for instance, we are planning our high fashion photo shoot and career in the arts, the next we are rainforest walking in crocs and swinging from vines. Nicknames for each other include peasant, for Maria, and 'poppet, for me. Many variations included such as pheasant, pez-pez, fez-fez, droppet, shloppet, moppet, etc. We constantly have themed sleepovers such as "Spring" "Halloween", and "Christmas eve" (which occurs roughly on the 20th of December.) The mostly used phrase between us is "Peasant, we are gonna make it big."
